BF Goodrich created a rather insane campaign involving a new website, blog, and car footage from all over the country. If you scan through the videos on their YouTube page you may hear familiar tunes if you ever listened to Engine Down or Denali. Here is one of the videos that uses a little diddy I wrote, and features the wonderful Jonathan Fuller on drums.

For those of you who do not know, Black Iris Studios is a wonderland of creativity. Just about everyone, no actually….everyone, that works there is or has been in a Richmond band that shaped the scene. They all work together to bring you the best tunes to your favorite commercials. Last week we had a private viewing of the just released DVD “From Beginning to Last”. It chronicles the life span and farewell tour of the band Engine Down. The turn out was amazing and the reactions ranged from laughing to crying. It’s an intense story and it seemed to affect those watching as much as it affected the band. I highly reccommend you see it whether you are a music fan or not. Thanks so much to all those involved.
I was cleaning out the massive archive of unused material from my hard drive when I came across this song “The Last Before the Last”. I forgot how much I like this song. It is super delicate and didn’t seem to fit the official glös release so it stayed hidden in the archives. It especially sends shivers down my spine at the end of the song when my sister Maura fills in the four part harmony. Ouch. The new Engine Down DVD has been released. I designed the package and was able to print on 100% recycled products. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
